Logitech RingCentral
For this exciting project, Logitech wanted a creative video explaining what you get when you combine the RingCentral services with Logitech devices. I worked with the Creative Director to produce the look development for this project. We couldn’t use Adobe Photoshop, so I had to figure out how to create a dream-like world with interesting characters in Adobe Illustrator. After the art direction was set, I created the style frames for animation.

Visual Development
The overall vision for the project was that we didn’t want it to be a real world, but more dream-like. We wanted to focus on the backgrounds first to really sell the world. We drew inspiration from Disney’s Fantasia, especially for the use of blurs and fades. The first two characters were done by Nayt Cochran and Michael Cribbs and the backgrounds were done by me.
This was the final look that we came up with. We had to find a way to capture the dream-like feel in Adobe Illustrator by utilizing all of the blur functions in the app. Original character design by Nayt, clean up by me.
We wanted to create characters based on work locations (home, on the go, & office). We decided to have the “on the go” character to be athletic, the remote character, a dad, and the office character, a sleek and elegant man. We had the green light to make the characters be non realistic, which was really fun to do! Lineup by me.
We knew that color would be a really important factor to push the idea of a fictional world.
Alternative end card that was changed in the final cut.
